Hi there—I’m Donn Kirst, founder and head clean freak at Housekeeping Headquarters. Before starting HHQ, I’ve spent decades fine-tuning the art of cleaning as a housekeeping director for top hotels that demand the best.
What started as a job became a craft, and eventually, a calling. Over the years, I’ve trained in world-class environments, developed professional cleaning systems (yes, there is a method to the madness), and built teams that clean with precision, pride, and a touch of perfectionism.
At Housekeeping Headquarters, we don’t just clean—we elevate clean to a standard. Whether we’re tackling a post-construction chaos zone, a luxury home, or a closet that hasn’t seen daylight since 2001, we approach every project with the same mindset: get it right the first time, and make it sparkle.
One of my favorite moments? Taking over a 500-unit apartment job that had already run through two cleaning companies. By the end of our first day, the project manager said the difference was “night and day.” We don’t do it for the praise—but hey, it doesn’t hurt.
